About Me

I have a Master's in Mass Communications from the University of South Florida. My cognate is in Instructional Technology with a focus on Web Page Design. For two years, I was a Graduate Teaching Assistant at USF. I taught a recitation section of Mass Communications and Society, an introduction class, for three semesters. I was also a Florida Focus Teaching Assistant for two semesters. This undergraduate class produces a daily newscast. I held an Executive Producer role as well as Web Producer role; links to episodes are in the Florida Focus Episodes section. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Radio, Television, and Film from the University of North Texas with a certificate in Media Management.

I have 10 years of diverse media experience that includes website content managing, blogging, news writing, copywriting, teaching, radio promotions, television programming and production. As a media student, I took classes in News Writing and Editing, Programming, Production, Research and Media Management. I am proficient at PowerPoint, Excel, Word, WordPress, Email Marketing Systems, CMS, Email, and Internet. I also know Dreamweaver and Photoshop, and I can efficiently use both a PC and a Mac.
